Jamelyn Keatts Psychotherapy psychotherapy and psychoanalysis for adults
I offer individual psychotherapy and psychoanalysis for young adults and adults, 18 years and older.
The nature of our work together will typically be one-on-one sessions, on a weekly basis. Some people find multiple sessions a week to be very helpful, which I may recommend depending on your needs and desires for support. Because I have found the most effective therapy based on a strong relationship established between therapist and client, value is lost if meetings are sporadic or too far apart. Instead, frequent and consistent treatment produces faster and longer-lasting results.
experience working with...

I firmly believe in the affordability of therapy. If you are working with financial limitations but would like to invest in therapy, we can sort that out. We will work together to come up with a plan for rate and payment that is manageable. For students: a student rate is available on a limited basis, upon request.
Cancellation Policy Once we decide to work together, it is best to find appointment times that are workable for the both of us, and will be consistent from week to week. For the duration of our work together, expect payment for each appointment regardless of whether you have attended. You are not charged for the sessions when I am unavailable because of a pre-planned absence or illness.
Insurance I am a provider with Cigna, Kaiser PPO and Premera. If you are insured through other insurance providers, it is recommended that you contact your provider directly to find out if they offer reimbursement for mental health services, as most often, reimbursement is available for a large portion of your out-of-pocket expenses. I am happy to work with you find a balance between your provider's coverage and the overall cost of therapy to the individual, given your circumstances.
